After leaving Philadelphia’s Blood Feathers in 2016 and moving in a solo direction, Ben Dickey’s infectious blend of Louisiana rock ’n’ roll, maverick country, and deep Mississippi blues, caught the attention of Ethan Hawke, who cast Ben in the title role of his Blaze Foley biopic Blaze.
Ben won the Best Actor Award at Sundance Film Festival. His soundtrack for Blaze was released on Light in the Attic Records, and Ben’s follow up record, Glimmer on the Outskirts, was released on Ethan Hawke, Charlie Sexton, and Lewis Black’s SexHawkeBlack label, generating significant airplay on Sirius XM / Outlaw Radio.
