Brea Burns and the Boleros are a Classic Honky Tonk band out of Phoenix, Arizona.
The group has been called 'Hank Williams and Wanda Jackson meeting Country Music's future'.
Brea's well-crafted songs take the listener on a journey through cheating, heartaches, honky tonks, and everything in between. Their unique sound is steeped in all the best aspects of traditional Country and Rockabilly music, with a fresh approach that keeps the modern listener engaged. The band's dynamic live performance has found them sharing the stage with many roots music legends, including Dale Watson, Billy Joe Shaver, Wayne Hancock, Kim Lenz, Big Sandy and his Fly-Rite boys, Junior Brown, and Asleep at the Wheel, among others. We are excited to welcome them to the Zócalo!
Katie Mae plays interpretive country & alt-western music, though she first took to a stage as the vocalist for a local punk band (and still does). Her style speaks to her authenticity, and vulnerability. “My favorite performers are those who seem to be entranced in their own hypnotic spell. They transcend deep into altered states of consciousness & invite you along for the ride. Katie Mae is one of those performers.” -R.W. Tudor, Anything But Mainstream Records
