Garry Blackchild is best described as a Southwestern Country & Blues Singer - Songwriter based in the high desert of Taos New Mexico . Originally from Pasadena CA ,his Afro-Indigenous roots have had a big influence on his Southern Roots style of playing . From Blues to Bluegrass, Country and Gospel , to Southwest Americana , Outlaw Ballads , and Desert Rock . His lyrics reflect his nomadic journey and account of his adventures as a Black and Indigenous man living in the southwestern landscape .
