Natalie Carol is a songwriter, guitarist, and lead vocalist of Valley Queen, described by Rolling Stone as possessing a “bracingly afflicted mountain-vaulting dream-country yodel”. Garnering comparisons to the likes of Delores O’Riordon and Florence Welch, Valley Queen has developed an extensive tour history with artists including Laura Marling, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Social Distortion, Justin Townes Earle, and Heartless Bastards. In 2024, Natalie signed on as a songwriter with Subpop Publishing, representing the entire Valley Queen catalogue.Currently releasing singles and having released their latest sophomore LP Chord of sympathy in 2024, Her work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Stereogum, and WXPN, with performances at NPR Tiny Desk Concert , Luck Reunion, BottleRock Napa Valley, and Pickathon.
